Kofola signs an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Slovakia’s largest vending company

Kofola ČeskoSlovensko a.s. is acquiring a 100% stake in VENDING s.r.o., headquartered in Banská Bystrica, which manages and oversees ASO VENDING s.r.o. ASO VENDING is a family-run business with more than 30 years of history and is the leader of the Slovak vending market. It operates coffee, food, and beverage machines along with a full range of complementary and customized solutions. The merger of the two companies brings logical synergies not only within the non-alcoholic beverage market.

Miroslav Korček, founder and owner of ASO VENDING, who has been building the company with his wife Soňa since 1992, sees Kofola’s entry into the vending business as an important step for the company’s further growth: “Partnering with a company like Kofola is a natural next step for us. It will allow us to take advantage of many mutual synergies and create new opportunities for growth. We are pleased to be joining forces with a partner that shares a similarly strong family background, an inspiring direction, and the kind of tradition that the Kofola brand represents.”

Daniel Buryš, CEO of Kofola ČeskoSlovensko, comments on the acquisition in a similar spirit: “At Kofola, we’re constantly looking for ways to strengthen our business efficiently and to make our products as accessible as possible. We see vending as a very promising sales channel,” explains Buryš. “We believe that Kofola’s entry into the company will allow us to find mutual synergies that will support further expansion of both businesses. With the Korček family, we share not only our philosophy and sustainable approach to business, but also our focus on the coffee segment.”

In recent years, both companies have been increasingly focusing on coffee sales. ASO VENDING offers a wide range of coffee machines, while Kofola has been developing its own coffee brands, Café Reserva and Trepallini. As a co-owner of coffee plantations in Colombia, Kofola is fulfilling its vision of working with coffee “from bean to cup.”

The agreement on the transfer of the 100% ownership stake was signed by the Korček family and representatives of Kofola ČeskoSlovensko on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The transaction is subject to approval by the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

ASO VENDING operates roughly 8,000 vending machines across Slovakia, more than half of which are coffee machines. In addition to beverage vending, the company also provides food vending and modern catering and refreshment solutions for businesses. It employs around 180 people and works with over 600 external partners for machine servicing. Every day, it serves more than 152,000 customers and provides all its vending locations with professional 24/7 service. In 2024, the company achieved revenues of approximately EUR 18.8 million and EBITDA exceeding EUR 2 million.
